Experience

Hayden is a food writer and pastry cook from Newtown, CT. He has worked in the food industry for several years, most recently at a Jean-Georges restaurant in Pound Ridge, NY. His love of food began in childhood, while living abroad in Spain and China, where he was introduced to diverse cuisines at a very young age. He later lived in Denmark and England, where he ate some of the best food he has ever had. During the pandemic, Hayden began experimenting with lamination techniques and enjoys a baking project that takes up an entire weekend. He also teaches cooking classes at his local library. He joined Food Republic in 2025.

Hayden graduated with a B.A. in English with a Creative Writing emphasis from Kenyon College in 2025.
