The Coffee Brand Dolly Parton Spent 40 Years Creating

The world became a little less sparkly with the passing of Dolly Parton in August 2026. The country music icon, known for her larger-than-life talent, stage presence, and humanitarian work, was also something of an entrepreneur, lending her name and energy to a variety of enterprises, including the theme park Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Blue Eye Records record label, and even a hotel in downtown Nashville. Meanwhile, the musician and songstress also spent 40 years creating a coffee line, appropriately named Cup of Ambition after a line in her most famous tune, "9 to 5."

The famous foodie, whose go-to dinner was chicken and dumplings, actually announced the initial release of her coffee line on Instagram back in June 2026, before her death. It was first available for purchase at her newly opened Tennessean Travel Stop before releasing nationwide in late September, on National Coffee Day.

The coffee line, which Parton described as "one of those dreams [that took] a little longer than I thought it might," (via Dolly Parton's official website) is a collaboration with Community Coffee, features her recognizable face on the packaging, and comes in dark, medium, and light roasts. It's available for purchase online at a variety of places, including its own website and Amazon. Keep it on hand for the next time you "tumble outta bed and stumble to the kitchen."

If you want something to eat with your Cup of Ambition coffee, you're in luck. Dolly Parton was a bit of a foodie, a down-to-earth grand dame of country who ate Taco Bell (just like you and me!) and favored Southern classics in her own kitchen. The latter is particularly apparent in the superstar's line of frozen meals, which were first released in early 2025.

The lineup initially included chicken and dumplings, shrimp and grits, country fried steak, and the fan-favorite pot roast, and grew to include a homestyle meatloaf and a KFC chicken bowl dupe. There are now also frozen desserts, including three flavors of dessert cups, a family-sized peach cobbler, a chocolate pie, and a cheesecake. Additionally, in 2022, Parton released a baking mix line in partnership with Duncan Hines, featuring mixes for brownies, cakes, and cookies, as well as a series of flavored frostings, including pink strawberry and decadent chocolate buttercream.
