Costco announced in September 2026 that it has begun receiving tariff refunds, and some of the returned money is being reinvested into patrons in the form of cost reductions. Some of the slashes are showing up on the price tags of food items and other culinary goods, adding up to some sweet savings for Costco cardholders.

Costco is already known for doing its part to pass savings onto consumers, using unconventional business practices to keep costs down, similar to the methods used by discount retailers like Aldi, which employs some unique approaches to maintaining cheap grocery prices. You can already find various essential Costco products for $10 or less that customers love, but any new cost cuts are always music to shoppers' ears.

During Costco's third-quarter 2026 earnings call in May, execs from the company called out some specific price cuts that were hitting stores, including one for Kirkland Signature Crispy Wings. The frozen, fully cooked, heat-and-serve chicken wings dropped from $16.99 to $14.99 and were still holding at that price as of October 9. Kirkland Signature Crispy Wings are available at Costco for $14.99.

Under the "New Lower Prices" category on the Costco website, this Olipop Variety Pack shows up as an item that has been recently price-slashed — though the site doesn't specify what its price was before the cut. This 15-pack of prebiotic soda includes Cream Soda, Classic Grape, and Classic Root Beer flavors. The Olipop Variety Pack is available at Costco for $19.99 in-store.

These 5.64-pound bags of Levels Grass Fed Whey Protein, offered in Double Chocolate and Vanilla Bean flavors, are also listed among recent price drops at Costco. While, again, the most recent previous price isn't cited on the chain's website, it's worth noting that Costco's cost far undercuts that of the manufacturer, which lists slightly smaller, 5-pound containers of the powdered protein for over $100 each on its website. Both the Double Chocolate and Vanilla Bean flavors of Levels Grass Fed Whey Protein are available at Costco for $77.99.
