La Antigüa Cocktail Recipe

Looking to go beyond a margarita this Cinco de Mayo? Star bartenders Alexander Day and David Kaplan of Proprietors LLC recently created a dozen new cocktails for the Rosa Mexicana restaurants.

This dangerously good riff on an Old Fashioned is simple to make but complex in taste. It uses artisanal Tanteo Chocolate Tequila. Chocolate tequila, it's not as gross or wrong as it sounds, we swear. Tanteo infuses tequila with chocolate extracts and the essence of jalapeño peppers, for a sweet, hot, savory spirit that is showcased in this cocktail.
