Bananas Foster is an old-timey dessert, typically made of bananas on top of vanilla ice cream with a caramel sauce, and then alcohol is added and it's ignited. It's quite the spectacle. While loving the flavors, I do not love the amount of preparation it must take to prepare such a dessert, so I made it into this delicious shake, a Frozen Bananas Foster that is oh so delicious.

Note: This can easily be made into a "mocktail" by omitting the bourbon.

Ingredients
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 ounces bourbon
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
Directions
  1. Combine the bananas, ice cream, milk, bourbon, and ice cubes in a blender and blend until smooth, about 1 minute.
  2. Spoon the caramel sauce around the inside rim of two or three glasses, allowing it to drip down the insides of each glass.
  3. Pour the mixture from the blender into the prepared glasses and enjoy.
