  • Kevin grew up in a Taiwanese-American household passionate about food and is interested in bringing more attention to the foods and recipes he grew up with.
  • He got his start in recipe development by spending time in the test kitchen of America's Test Kitchen learning the detail oriented style and scientifically backed methods that continue to inform his cooking.
  • His keen interest in the natural intersection of cuisines and culinary traditions inspired him to travel to Peru to explore and learn more about Chifa and Nikkei food (Chinese and Japanese-Peruvian fusion).


Kevin is a professional chef and recipe developer based in Brooklyn, New York. He has over a decade of professional cooking experience, having worked at a number of highly regarded restaurant kitchens including as a sous chef for James Beard award winning chefs Jody Adams and Michael Scelfo. Nowadays, he works as a recipe developer for the meal kit company Marley Spoon. He specializes in developing recipes that reflect the myriad of diverse food cultures that inform his love of cooking.


Kevin has a bachelor's degree in culinary arts and foodservice management from Johnson & Wales University.
