Sammy Hagar, Adam Levine Launch "Mezquila" Brand

Sammy Hagar is known for his time fronting legendary rock band Van Halen and touting popular tequila brand, Cabo Wabo. For his next act, He's joining forces with Adam Levine of Maroon 5 to mix two spirits into one, adding one more liquor backed by famous faces to the wide world of drinking. Meet Santo Mezquila.

Half tequila and half mezcal, the duo's new liquor is the first of its kind (unless of course you've mixed tequila and mezcal on your own — in which case, we commend you). As the story goes, the two singers were shooting tequila and mezcal when the idea to mix the two emerged. Santo Mezquila was born.

Hagar first joined the spirits business 20 years ago. He also owns his own rum brand and has a major obsession with great food. He's even cooked for Emeril at his Cabo estate. While we're fine with mixing our own Mexican booze shots, this duo could be onto something. Next thing you know, Lana Del Rey and Courtney Love will be mixing white and red wine together to make rosé!
