Farm Out! It's Hemp History Week, Everyone!

How are you going to usher in the eighth annual Hemp History Week? Throw on one of these sustainably grown, unexpectedly classy button-down shirts from Boston's The Hempest, perhaps? However you're celebrating an extended holiday you'd really think would be in April, make sure to take a further look into the long and storied past of this unique, multi-purpose crop. Hemp seeds are super-nutritious (more so than soybeans), and the plant's fiber can be used to make products like rope, cloth and paper.

Check out this video from farming reform activists Breaking Ground, and learn more about the hemp industry in at any of the 200 events happening around the country from June 5-11th.
