Olmsted in Brooklyn benefited from the perfect combination of word of mouth, visits from high-profile culinary figures and eventually rave reviews, making it one of NYC's breakout restaurants of 2016. A big part of its charm is its farmhouse aesthetic, which extends to the backyard and its approaching-legendary-status lounge area, veggie garden and quail coop. As chef and co-owner Greg Baxtrom explains in the latest episode of our video series Design Details, it was his father who masterminded and executed the overhaul of the space, which previously housed another restaurant.
