Celebrate The Rio Olympics With Onion Rings!

Olympics season is upon us, and one New York restaurant got incredibly pumped and fired up the fryer to make edible replicas of the blue, black, red, yellow and green rings. Yes, really. Because there's nothing better to inspire an Olympics-style workout, right? Slate will be dishing these rings out for $5 a plate and will also be showing the games on all 40 of their televisions. The rings are battered with a homemade waffle mix and vaguely resemble SpongeBob SquarePants' Pretty Patties. One can only hope they'll be met with more success.

No word yet on whether NBC has issued a cease-and-desist for copyright infringement.
