Japanese Croissants Are Now Stuffed With Kit Kats
You've heard of ham-and-cheese-stuffed croissants, but what about Kit Kats baked into croissants? This chocolate-covered-wafer-filled French pastry that sounds like a stoner's dream come true is now available. In Japan, of course.
RocketNews24 reports that the croissant also comes in matcha flavor, but what about the other 198 flavors of Kit Kats that call Japan home? We'd be on board for an ogura toast (red bean sandwich) edition and would even entertain the idea of a European cheese variety (it'd be something like a regular cheese Danish, right?). The tri-hybrid (tribrid?) of American chocolate snack, French pastry and Japanese flavor is available for purchase at popular Japanese chain café Pronto for just 170 yen ($1.40).
According to RocketNews24, you can get the croissants warmed, which sounds to us like it might eliminate the crunchiness of the wafer and turn the bread into something like pain au chocolat.
There is no set end date for the sale of the multicultural pastries, but we suggest you buy your ticket to Japan sooner rather than later...if you were looking for yet another reason to head east.
