Here Are The Country's 5 Best New Pastry Chefs

For the third consecutive year, the editors of Food & Wine have taken on the daunting task of traveling around the United States to sample the country's most outstanding desserts. Daunting, indeed. The annual "Best New Pastry Chef" award recognizes the industry's up-and-coming chefs, each of whom must have spent five years or less running a restaurant's pastry department. This year's winners include five different cities, three women and one "Through the Forest" creation, complete with "mushrooms" and "moss cake". Take a look at the full list, abridged below.
