What do you get when you have two renowned television personalities with culinary backgrounds and a whole lot of wild game in the same room? Some enlightening and knowledgeable conversations, for one. Some pretty darn good looking sausage, for another. Steven Rinella and Michael Ruhlman recently sat down to talk (and eat) cured meats. What do you get when you put two renowned television personalities with deep culinary backgrounds and a whole lot of wild game in the same room? Some nerdy food conversation, for one. Also, a spirited bear sausage tasting.

Steven Rinella, host of the Sportsman Channel’s MeatEater (a production of Zero Point Zero, Food Republic's parent company) and author/entrepreneur Michael Ruhlman (read our interview) sat down to try a variety of cured meats, including Rinella’s homemade sausage made with bear, deer and the fat of many different animals.
