While the country is gripped with a government shutdown as the United States Congress continues to draw lines in the sand, the Baltimore/Washington D.C. restaurant community has started to offer #shutdown specials that are both altruistic and crafty marketing tools. As reported in the Baltimore Sun, Eater and the Washington City Paper, here are some of the specials being offered:
