Summer Fancy Food Show 2013: And The Best Product Awards Go To...

The Fancy Food Show, as the name suggests, is a showcase of good things to eat and drink — running twice annually (January in San Francisco and late-June in rotating East Coast cities, with D.C. hosting last year and New York City winning back the honor in 2013). Over the weekend we walked the floor of the Javits Center and made some nice discoveries.

But the big-deal announcement came Monday evening with the annual Sofi Awards (standing for Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation), which acknowledged the best of the best. It must be noted that the Awards are only open to members of the Specialty Food Association (formerly NASFT), a not-for-profit trade association for food artisans, importers and entrepreneurs.
