Kickstart This: Meat Collectives Across America

Over the past three years the Portland Meat Collective has held over 150 classes and taught more than 1,500 students about all facets of getting meat to their tables. Responsible, locally sourced and sustainable meat. With the popularity, former journalist and founder Camas Davis came to a crossroads of sorts. She writes in an email: "Why keep the Meat Collective model all to myself? Why not share the love? Why not empower other communities to start their own?" In this Kickstarter campaign, she hopes to make the initiative a reality. The funds will help launch a couple test markets and fund a central training center. Check out the video above.
