Bakeshops across the country are getting prepared for kouign-amann, a fall pastry sensation.  

Kouign-amann (queen a-MAHN) is a French cake made of bread dough, butter and sugar. The buttery pastry is a hybrid of a croissant and a palmier with layer upon layer of caramelized sugar. It’s a dessert experiecne you won’t forget.
