If we had gizzards like birds do, competitive eating might be a more popular, less-gross sport. Those lucky ducks.
The gizzard is a small organ in a bird, typically larger in poultry with a more substantial diet, containing grit a bird swallows to help break down the grains and plants it eats. Surprisingly tasty for what it is, too.
