Who would have thought that vinegar and honey could get along? On paper, it sounds as plausible as Yankees and Red Sox fans shaking hands. But back to acetomel.

Vinegar plus honey equals a sweet and sour syrup called acetomel. The mixture is used in preserved fruits (grapes and pears), but we say, why not try it as a condiment?
