Like any good rural farmers, we love the smell of hay in the morning. Thankfully for those of us who have migrated to the city, woodruff grows just fine on a windowsill.
Woodruff, also known as sweet woodruff, is a herb that smells like freshly cut hay mixed with a little spice. It’s definitely worth it to grow a pot or two, as it’s an awesome seasoning, especially for grilled meat. Besides, how many basil plants do you have to kill before you spring for something a little hardier?
