Word Of The Day: Wort
With the homebrewing craze in full swing, we want to make sure you're up to date on all of your brewing terminology — hence wort. Despite its abrasive sound, wort is actually the sweet liquid product of mashed grains (a.k.a. unfermented beer). Add some hops to your sugary-sweet wort and you're on your way to making yourself one fine microbrew. Okay, the process is a little more complicated than that, but whatever you do, don't skip the fermentation step otherwise those sugars in the wort will never turn into alcohol, and without alochol what's even the point of brewing?
