Word Of The Day: Kumis

How many milk variations can you think of? Let's see, soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, and rice milk. How about a glass of mildly alcoholic horse milk? Yup, that's right, things just got a lot more interesting in the world of dairy.

Kumis is a beverage made of fermented mare's milk. Native to Central Asia, the fizzy favorite contains more fermentable sugar than cow's milk and therefore develops a slight alcohol content. Kumis smoothie anyone? No takers? None?! We don't blame you.
