Athena put an enchantment of beauty on Penelope using ambrosia. What? Just ask Homer. No, not that Homer. Well...maybe that Homer. Ambrosia is food or drink fit for gods. In Greek mythology, ambrosia was believed to confer ageless immortality and allow for a youthful radiance.

Nowadays the term is used to describe epicurean delights and delicacies, basically food that is really really good. We all know that pretty much any Food Republic recipe falls under that category.
