NYC Wine & Food 2011: Chef Portraits
Our friends at Eater hosted a Blogger Lounge during the annual New York City Wine and Food Festival—this year in the lobby of the swish Dream Downtown in the Meatpacking District. The lounge is a place for food bloggers to catch a break during the hectic festival, plug in their laptops, do what they do best (blog, yo) and meet and chat with the chefs and restaurant owners Eater invites to drop in.
As an added twist this year, the crew set up the Eater Wonder Wheel for contestants to spin and play. Restaurateur Drew Nieporent spun and was forced to eat a cupcake. Empellon's Alex Stupak took the Blind Bodega Taste Test (where the former wd~50 pastry chef turned taco man scored pretty admirably, IDing Fritos and Twinkies). You can read all about here on Eater.
