Sockeye Salmon Shares In Brooklyn

Do you love salmon and live in NYC, or do you know someone who does? The Iliamna Fish Company, a family-owned cooperative whose members include a Food Republic Ambassador, has just opened a new season of shares in its wild sockeye salmon catch. The group is MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified and Monterey Bay Aquarium recommended, and fishes in 20-foot boots in the Bering Sea each summer. Those who buy in for $198 per share receive 12 lbs. of premium wild sockeye salmon divided into 6 to 7 vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen fillets. Registration is open through June 12, and last year's shares sold out quickly.
