A Bloody Mary sounds more sinister, but you won’t miss the vodka in this smoky, mezcal-laced concoction.
- 1 1/2 ounce Sangrita
- 1 1/2 ounce mezcal
- Salt and pepper
- citrus zest
Mix citrus zest with salt and pepper. Rim a chilled double rocks glass with a citrus salt-and-pepper mixture, and add ice. In a shaker, combine the mezcal and sangrita, and add 1 cube of ice. Shake lightly and pour contents into glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
