Emma is a proud and passionate food writer. She is excited about making cooking and food accessible to all, regardless of experience level. Inspired by food and drink trends, her writing is on the pulse of cooking culture and seeks to spread the joy of learning. She uses her writing, editing, and research expertise to engage a diverse audience of readers and eaters from all over the world. As the chief copy editor at the student-led publication, District, Emma wrote a column about restaurant and food culture in Savannah called District Dish. From there, she decided to pursue a career in editorial food writing. Currently, she is prioritizing her experiences as a freelance writer and furthering her knowledge about cooking and food. Alongside writing for Food Republic, Emma is the writer and social media assistant for the beloved recipe developer Justine Doiron. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, writing creative personal works, and reading.

Education

Emma is currently obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts in writing from Savannah College of Art and Design. She will graduate magna cum laude in March of 2024.
