The Chefs From New York City Restaurant Contra Are Taking Over Our Instagram
Since opening in 2013, Lower East Side restuarant Contra has established itself as one of NYC's most ambitious. The small, bare-bones spot serves an affordable prix fixe menu of rotating dishes inspired by local produce as well as the chefs' backgrounds and cooking experience. Fabian von Hauske and Jeremiah Stone are the two guys behind the project, and they've worked in both world-renowned (Fäviken in Järpen, Sweden) and more local (Isa in Brooklyn) restaurants. Perhaps most impressively, both chefs are still in their twenties. And they're taking over our Instagram account from today through Sunday.
The pair is headed to Paris this weekend to cook at Omnivore, an annual festival celebrating young chefs around the world. And, of course, to eat and drink very well. They are the latest in a long line of chefs and personalities to take over our account, including Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo from Animal, Tom Colicchio, Andrew Carmellini and comic Andy Milonakis.
