Why You Should Attend The 2014 Food Book Fair In Brooklyn
The third annual Food Book Fair will take place this year at Brooklyn's Wythe Hotel on April 25-27. Food enthusiasts, publishers, book collectors, chefs, artists, activists, scholars and writers will converge to present three days of food writing, reading and activism, and to explore the latest in food innovation and conversation. Events will include panel discussions, author signings, a pop-up farm for children, a homebrew brewpub and special dinners. Also new this year will be a pop-up bookstore with over 200 hand-selected titles.
A roster of world-class speakers features Ava Chin, Laurie David, Tom Mylan, Bryant Terry and Steve Hindy. Weekend highlights include the Food + Growing + Music opening night event, a GMO roundtable with Dave Arnold and the Museum of Food and Drink, a dinner presented by Egg Restaurant and a showcase of food-focused publications for writer and editor networking. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Fair's official website. A full list of participants – which was just released – is included below.
