8 NBA Players Team With Celebrity Chefs To Shot-Block Bad Eating Habits
The holidays have left everybody a little sluggish. We're all feeling it at the Food Republic office today and did shots of wheatgrass during our morning meeting. Not really, but we probably should have. Anyways, our friends at the NBA realize that early January is a great time to get healthy, which is why they have organized the NBA FIT Live Healthy Week — running now through January 10.
The effort is spearheaded by the NBA/WNBA FIT Team, a mix of veterans and up-and-comers and some of the fittest players in the league. See full list below. They are teaming with a roster of celebrity chefs and personalities to offer healthy eating tips and recipes. Those include Rachael Ray, Mario Batali, Marc Forgione, Dale Talde, Roble Ali, Bill Telepan, Candice Kumai and Ali Maffucci. Batali supplied an egg white frittata recipe. Because we all know that egg whites and marjoram helps with three-point shooting.
