NYC: Photos From Last Night's Lunchbox Fund And Feedie App Launch Party
We recently told you about a new app called Feedie that lets you use your Instagram food shots for charity. Last night, The Lunchbox Fund hosted a launch party for the app and a charity auction. An unusual assortment of celebs including Liv Tyler, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix (and his sisters), Michael Stipe and others joined Stephen Starr at his Meatpacking District mainstay Buddakan for the event. Paddle 8 founder Alexander Gilkes auctioned off one-of-a-kind pieces from acclaimed artists Chuck Close — who recently told us his dark hamburger secrets — and Tara Donovan, as well as a highly exclusive item selling for $32,000 — a private dinner at Joaquin Phoenix's Los Angeles home featuring a bespoke menu by Mario Batali. The bash raised $300,000, with all of the proceeds benefiting the South African children supported by the charity.
