Long Island: The Final Houseman At Latham's Dinner Is This Week

Houseman at Latham's is a series of six thematic meals at a pop-up location in Orient, NY this summer. Conceived in part as a preview of chef Ned Baldwin's upcoming New York City restaurant, each of the six dinners highlights ingredients that are locally available and in season. Each four-course dinner explores a different central ingredient through a variety of preparations and includes a variety of composed salads. Dinners are served family-style at five communal tables – each with 10 seats – in a historic building in the 19th century Long Island fishing village.

The final dinner of the season (BYOB!) is this Thursday, August 29, with a theme of vegetables. For more information, visit the pop-up's website. While Baldwin hunts for a permanent NYC home for Houseman, he is planning to pop-up in yet-to-be-determined spots around the city this fall.
