MTV Hopes Its Next 'Jersey Shore' Is A Show About The Best Little Bar In Texas
Heavy drinking and scantily clad women are commonplace on reality television nowadays. MTV is certainly betting on this formula for its upcoming show, Big Tips Texas. Set to premiere this fall, the bar-themed show will follow "a group of spirited young women trying to navigate the uncertainty of their early 20s through Jim Beam-colored glasses and a thick haze of hairspray." Yes, you're going to want to tune in for this one.
The series will detail the day-to-day operations of Redneck Heaven, a bar with locations in Fort Worth, Arlington and Lewisville. A show preview — which debuted during last night's Video Music Awards — promises lots of wild nights, pointing to the bar operating like a sorority and a standard-issue uniform consisting of "cowboy boots and very little else...it's not uncommon to see some of them wrestle each other to the ground." A look at the bar's website reveals a nice roster of "special event nights" – our early favorite is mid-August's Naughty Schoolgirl Dress-up Day. Here's a preview:
