Bonnaroo Announces Next Weekend's Intense Food And Beer Lineup
Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival today announced the culinary lineup for next weekend's events. We'll be on hand in Manchester, Tennessee and we're particularly excited by the news that The Fatback Collective, an initiative formed by four James Beard–winning chefs and three Southern pitmasters and based on their deep love and respect of pork, will headline. This is Food Republic, so we are obviously most excited about the food headliners. For music, see below.
Among the Fat Back members participating will be the crew from Alabama-based Jim 'N Nicks Bar-B-Q. [Read about their recent trip to Uruguay]. As part of the initiative, fans will be able to hang with the pitmasters while a whole hog will be roasted daily.
Also attending the festivities will be Brooklyn pizzeria Roberta's, which will team with New Orleans dive bar, Snake and Jake's Christmas Club Lounge, to transform part of the 700-acre farm into a barn. For the third consecutive year, a number of mobile food trucks from around the country will make up the popular Food Truck Oasis section of the festival.
The annual Bonnaroo Festival is taking place this year from June 13-16 on a farm in Manchester, Tennessee. Musical performances include Paul McCartney, Mumford & Sons and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. For more details and ticket information, visit the festival's website.
