Dosa Hunt The Movie Debuts In Brooklyn The Weekend Of October 5

A couple things we can stand behind: Dosas and New York City band-dudes who are into dosas. Stereogum editor Amrit Singh unites the two in a film project he is calling Dosa Hunt (or DOSA HUNT, with appropriately emphatic text). As we see in the trailer, Singh and friends from bands Vampire Weekend, Das Racist and Neon Indian ride around Queens in a van "on a dosa hunt with a bunch of Indian dudes," according to Neon Indian's Alan Palomo. Now, the film is ready for a big premier party the weekend of October 5 at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Each ticket comes with dosa and samosa provided by Anjappar, with free Kingfisher served at the screening's afterparty (featuring various DJs). At each screening journalist John Norris will conduct a Q&A. And, man, this theater is going to smell really good. For tickets visit: nitehawkcinema.com.
