Macy's Declares "National Believe Day"

Macy's is celebrating generosity and giving throughout the holiday season by declaring December 9th "National Believe Day." As part of Macy's "Believe" campaign, "National Believe Day" aims to inspire Americans to embrace the spirit of goodwill, while spreading the holiday season's message through charitable efforts and kindheartedness toward others. To commemorate the day this year, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Macy's will grant "Wishes Across America" to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

As it has for the past three years, Macy's "Believe" campaign invites children of all ages to mail letters to Santa using Macy's Santa Mail Letterboxes. Macy's donates $1 for each letter received, up to $1 million, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For every stamped letter to Santa that Macy's collects on Friday, December 9th, Macy's will be giving an additional dollar to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The extra $1 is above and beyond Macy's $1 million goal.
