Optimism best describes the mood at the LA Auto Show, which wrapped up on Sunday. While Europe is reeling over a debt crisis, U.S. Auto sales are slowly rebounding. After a federal bailout and forced restructure, GM has come roaring back with hot new models like the Chevrolet Sonic and Cruze. Chrsyler’s Fiat division is as hot as Babbo on a Friday night and Ford’s hangover is finally over with models like the new Focus ST.

I had an opportunity to visit the LA Auto Show last week for a preview of what automakers will be featuring on their menus in the year ahead. While many of the cars on display whet our appetite, here’s a list of cars we’re hungry for in 2012.
