Yes, Burns as in Robert Burns, the legendary Scottish poet born 1/25/59 — as in, 1759 — and perhaps the most romantic man to ever hail from the land of haggis. Each year on January 25, Scots commemorate his life and celebrate his contribution to Scottish culture. The special day happens to fall in the coldest season, when we all could use a dram of single malt, a meal centered around Scottish salmon and perhaps some shortbread, and who knows what else.
