Video: The Secretive World Of Sake Distilling, Exposed

We've been tracking the progress of this Kickstarter for a documentary film called the The Birth of Sake, which explores how sake is handcrafted at a fifth-generation, family-owned Japanese brewery named Tedorigawa. The filmmaker, Eric Shirai, was given a rare glimpse into the world of sake brewing at the Yoshida family brewery in Ishikawa, northern Japan. After spending some time there, Shirai felt compelled to make a movie about what it's like to live with a group of people under the same roof for six straight months, making sake. The film just got funded, and we're excited to see it come to life. In the meantime, check out the trailer, below.
