Word Of The Day: Husmanskost

The word may not look attractive...and neither may the food, but husmanskost is the reason a certain giant housewares store has such a popular food court.

Husmanskost is Swedish for "everyday food," simple hearty and filling dishes like Stekt sill med Löksås (fried herring with onion sauce) pytt-i-panna (fried eggs and potato hash) and especially köttbullar, which folks can't seem to get enough of. Happy Midsummer, have yourself some meatballs.
