Just before 11 p.m. last night, Food Republic’s social media guru Mahir texted to say, “Turn in CNN, Bin Laden is dead.” We were too tired to correct his typo and suggest that he might have chosen to use an exclamation point, but we were grateful to be in on the news more than a half hour before President Obama stepped up to the podium to give his address.
