A classic dry martini is Bond's favorite. Or is it?

 

According to Simon Ford's recent column, "So You Want To Drink Like James Bond? Of Course You Do," throughout the course of the books, Bond drinks 35 martinis, 19 vodka and 16 gin. Bonus points to the first person who can tell us how many he's drunk over the course of the movies. To commemorate many great martinis, a few of our great ones:

• Classic Dry Gin Martini
• The Tuxedo (No. 2)
• The Vesper
• The Delicata (the "Bond Girl's Vesper," if you will)

Bond also knocks back over 100 whiskeys, so in honor of his flexibility and a little-publicized affection for the brown liquor, here are the ones we'd serve him:

• The Preakness
• The Glasgow Kiss
• Tartan Day Rob Roy (can you tell we're channeling Sean Connery?)
