Eating in New Orleans is a feat of endurance, and when time is tight you might have to get creative with traditional meal times. Gumbo for breakfast followed by a quick po-boy is perfectly acceptable when you only have one “meal” left before you have to catch a flight out of town — at least that’s what I told myself on my recent trip to...

Grilled cheese sandwiches have been enjoying their moment of fame for a little longer than 15 minutes. From grilled cheese trucks to National Grilled Cheese Month, they remain the stars and showstoppers of some of our favorite eateries. This gooey sandwich craze is probably making you nostalgic for your favorite after-school snack that no one can make like...

Check out this everyday club sandwich. That’s right, nothing special here. Just keep walking…hang on. Did we forget to mention that it's served open-face on buttery fried grit cakes? Ok, that’s pretty special, especially with their classic Southern spin on club sandwich fixins.

Meat + cheese + bread = sandwich. This is basic culinary arithmetic, and something that Portland, Oregon's Meat Cheese Bread knows well. This shop recognizes the elementary base of the sandwich, but one sandwich has surpassed grade school mathematics and is the result of...

Tired of the same old sandwiches made out of cold cuts, chicken, pork or beef? Neither are we. In fact, we can't get enough of them. But there comes a time when you just have to shake things up and add some new items to your sandwich repertoire. Frenchy's in Clearwater, Florida has a grouper sandwich perfect...
