If you truly love the kind of food only an Italian grandma could put on the table, you’ll need to hop a ferry to Staten Island and visit Enoteca Maria. The kitchen is staffed entirely by Italian grandmas. Restaurant founder Jody Scaravella’s new cookbook, Nonna’s House, is a collection of beloved recipes. First up, a favorite Italian cauliflower preparation.

The Pantone Color Of The Year Is Named After Our Favorite Sicilian Fortified Wine

Hot color will cover up your holiday wine stains
Dec 4, 2014 12:30 pm

Pantone is a New Jersey-based company best known for creating a standardized color matching system used in many industries, but primarily printing. They’ve also become famous for rolling out “color of the year” each December for the following 12-month period. Today they announced the 2015 selection, inspired by a famous fortified wine produced in Sicily. Marsala, the color, is a little bit red, a little bit brown and decidedly earthy. One thing it is not is last year's purple.

Pasta just isn't the same without sea urchin
