Experience

Bonnie worked as an editor for McClatchy Newspapers, The Fresno Bee, a job that combined her natural nosiness with her love of language. Ghostwriting and editing have allowed her to expand her writing network all over the world. Her mantra is, "You can fix anything but a blank page." She teaches writing workshops in suspense, character-driven fiction, and memoir for the Southern California nonprofit Inlandia Institute and other organizations. Her articles and essays have appeared in Writer's Digest, Publisher's Weekly, and The Writer, where her essay on writing, "What I Wish I'd Known," placed first in the Writers on Writing contest.

Education

Bonnie has an MFA in creative writing from Antioch University Los Angeles and a professional sequence in editing certificate from UC Berkeley Extension.
