The convergence of food and music is nothing new. Nope. We’ve interviewed countless bands for our Good Food, Rocks series — guys like Chromeo, French Montana and John Darnielle have told us all about their love of locavore dining and small-batch bourbon finding their way into the dressing room. And of course there is Zach Brooks and his weekly podcast devoted to the topic. That’s been going down for a year and a half now. So, yeah, nothing new.

Ad Age reports that at yesterday’s Hearst magazine “Upfront” the company detailed how they were beefing up their events business, including Food Network In Concert, a food and music festival sponsored by Food Network Magazine. Details are slim, but the report says the event will take place in Chicago in September.

We’re still processing the news, but if the organizers had any sense they would give Justin Warner HIS OWN STAGE.
