Spread Thousand Island dressing on a sandwich, dip fries or raw veggies or schmear on a burger.

Not to give away a formula of the foodservice world, but Thousand Island dressing is "secret sauce." Ugh, now we feel bad. Well, while we're on a roll, here's an excellent recipe that demonstrates how sometimes a secret is something you knew in your heart all along — this dippable, spreadable condiment is made up entirely of other condiments. If you want to be truly authentic, start by making your own ketchup and mayo

A perfect Reuben sandwich is well within your reach.

Servings: 1 cup

1/3 cup cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup pickle relish (we like the mustard kick in hot dog relish)
  1. Combine all ingredients together in a medium bowl.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for up to a week.
