This Lobster Roll Is Red Sox Pitcher Felix Doubront's Secret Weapon

Now this is food news! The Boston Herald reports that Red Sox pitcher Felix Doubrant has a pre-game ritual that's as far away from never washing a wristband as you can get. And a lot more pleasant. Steamers Seafood Market in Newton, MA serves Doubrant one of their famed lobster rolls before every game.

"I like it the day I pitch," says Doubrant. Hey, we'd eat a lobster roll every fifth day for the rest of the season. We'd do that for the rest of our lives, season or not.

Steamers owner Dominic Vincenzo, a longtime Sox fan, loads about half a pound of freshly steamed lobster meat into a "nontraditional" braided bun with mayo and a pickle on the side, nothing more (except fries, of course) and says Doubrant often picks up the roll himself, citing, "We don't get too many stars around here."
