Word of the Day: Orthorexia
Building up your kitchen vocab arsenal
The orthorexia paradox is an interesting one — how can healthy hurt you?
Orthorexia is an obsession with healthy food. It comes from the Greek words orthos (correct) plus orexis (appetite). When people are too restrictive about what they eat – in an attempt to stay in better-than-average health – they can become too thin, or orthorexic. Don't fear a bag of hot Cheetos every now and then, friends. The mirror adds a few pounds, you look great!
