Word Of The Day: Kashk

Nobody likes to play the second fiddle. But if you're as good as kashk, being made from leftovers isn't so bad.

Kashk is a dairy product, similar to sour cream, made from the leftovers of cheese making. The mixture is used most often in Persian or Iranian food, specifically as a condiment or part of an appetizer. Case and point, DJ Dubfire, Ali Shirazinia, says his mom's kashk-e bademjan (eggplant dip) is delicious.
